HCJDC Checks and Mililani Mauka Arrest Records
The Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center at 465 S. King Street, Room 102, runs the state's main criminal history system. Mililani Mauka arrests feed into CJIS-Hawaii through this office. The phone is (808) 587-3279. Only adult arrests are kept. Juvenile cases go through the Hawaii State Judiciary Family Court at (808) 954-8190.
For a name-based record check, you can use the eCrim site. Each search is $5. A printed report is $12. Pay by credit or debit card only. The HCJDC public access sites list the walk-in spots on Oahu and the neighbor islands. Each printout costs $25, paid by money order or cashier's check.
Conviction records are public. Arrests without a conviction are confidential. Only criminal justice agencies and certain authorized groups can pull non-conviction data. The HCJDC FAQ covers the rules.
Expunging Mililani Mauka Arrest Records
Mililani Mauka residents who were arrested but never convicted can apply to expunge that arrest. File an application with the HCJDC expungement program. The process takes 120 days. There is no rush option. First-time fee is $35. Any after that is $50. A $10 non-refundable processing fee is part of each.
The law for this sits in Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 831-3.2. Some cases do not qualify. Bail forfeiture on a felony blocks expungement. Petty misdemeanor bail forfeiture needs a 5-year wait. Cases where the person fled the state are not eligible.
Once the order is issued, the arrest is moved to a confidential file. Act 003 (2025) lets HCJDC send the order to the Judiciary direct. That means post-July 1, 2025 orders no longer need a second step at court.
Mililani Mauka UIPA Requests
The UIPA (HRS Chapter 92F) is Hawaii's public records law. Agencies must reply in 10 working days. A 20-day extension is allowed. Write a clear request, give good contact info, and say how you want the record (email, mail, or pickup).
For HPD reports on Mililani Mauka arrests, mail the HPD Records Division. For state courts, contact the Judiciary. For criminal history, mail HCJDC. For state sheriff records, mail the Department of Law Enforcement at 715 South King Street, Room 505. The OIP forms page has a free model form. The Governor's Office UIPA page has the full guide.
Your UIPA request should include these items:
- Your full name and mailing address
- A reasonable description of the record
- The date range if known
- How you want to get the record (pickup, mail, email)
- Your signature
Under Section 92F-22, agencies can hold back some criminal investigation records. Basic arrest facts must still be shared under HRS 92F-12. That rule is what keeps the HPD daily arrest log open to the public. If an agency denies a request, you can ask the OIP for help.
